Welcome to Berlin

John served in Berlin as a Russian Linguist during his Berlin tour in the mid 60's.  Johanna worked at Tempelhof in the Training Department during that period.

The Lawlers revisited Berlin in the early 80's.  At that time, John was a Lt. Commander in the Navy.

The folder pictured above was a "Welcome to Berlin" packet for new personnel and visiting military guests.  The Lawlers received this packet during their visit.

Included therein was an Air Force prepared pamphlet detailing what a new arrival could expect when living in the then Divided City.
